I have a 2004 X-country and a very fine layer of the skin on the steering wheel is peeling. Has anyone heard of this? It's very annoying. LD

Return to your dealer & have this inspected for replacement by the service manger & the shop foreman
Do they look like little cuts in the steering wheel?
