V50 2.0 Diesel

Hallo,

Please translate this to English Eric, unfortunately not many of us can speak Dutch. I am sure that it is an interesting point to make. George Holmer on the VOC forums is a translator and speaks several European languages.

All the best, Peter.

Sorry , here is the translated version of my previous posting;

I bought a new V50 diesel, which is a great car, however, at 10.000 km I have my EGR valve broken already! The expectation is, that more V50 diesel are going to have the exact same problem. The Engine from the V50 diesel is the one from the new Ford Modeo, which is a lighter car than the V50. Because of this difference in weight, the EGR valve may not be proper for the volvo V50.

My car has been repaired (with a new, but same EGR valve as it had). Volvo has the EGR in backorder, expecting more people to return their cars to resolve this problem.

Cheers,

Eric

Thankyou very much for the translation Eric. I can now let my South Wales members know of this problem. I will also check with my local dealer to ensure he is aware of the problem.

Cheers, Peter.
