My 1997 V70 Immobiliser / receiver (the bit that receives the signal from the key fob transmitter) seems to be failing or the aerial has come out or something.... anyway it only works when you are about a foot or two from the car and the spare fob doesn't work at all - I have tried new batteries in each and no difference, so I assume it's the car unit - question is, where is it and are there any common things to check (aerial unplugged ? ) or is it a new receiver at a dealer job ?
