V70 Volvo

Just a friendly warning. Our Volvo mechanic has told us that the V70 and probably all models have electrical problems. We passed on the purchase of a



2003 based on this. We are long time Volvo owners having purchased our first one in 1964. The magazine; Consumer Reports, has downgraded the Volvo for the last 4 years. Its a shame but we are moving on without a new Volvo.

That was the 1999 model and earlier. By 2000 they had solved the problem. In 2001 the V70 was a complete redesign and didn't have the problem. The problem was that the lamp sockets got too hot and oxidized, causing intermittent operation. Volvo replaced the problem sockets for free.
