What if Volvo crashes with Volvo

It's not just country roads either.

Last friday evening I was driving downtown to pick up my wife. As I approached an intersection of a major and minor streets (I was about

50m away and making the mental calculation of whether the green light would last long enough for me to roll through without braking) when I saw a red minivan blow right through the intersection in the crossing direction at full speed. The other driver probably not even noticed that his light was red (drunk? tired? distracted? stupid?) and, had I been 50m ahead of where I was, I would have been t-boned in a nasty way.
