I am going to install a remote starter / alarm into my '87 Cabrio soon, and if anyone had or knew where I could find a comprehensive wiring diagram or ETM that would be fantastic! Thanks!

The full schematic for your car is published in the Bentley manual for your car. They should tell you what you need to know.
If you can't find a Bentley, the Haynes manual uses the same schematic. Again it should tell you all you need to know.
Personally, as the owner of an '87 Cabriolet (since new) I wouldn't do it.
