Have a 1995 GTI VR6 that I removed airbags to do some under dash work. Drove car with airbags disconnected for about a week. Reinstalled and reconnected battery - airbag light still on. This is an OBDI - will airbag light clear with battery connected over time, disconnected over time or does it have to be reset at dealer with VAG-TOOL. Know the OBDII's have to have it cleared but don't know about OBDI's.
