Anyone here done this kind of conversion If so what hassles did it involve and just some general info you can provide

The MKII GTi is so light, why bother throwing it off-balance with a VR6? Get ahold of a 2.0 16-valve unit. With shrick cams, intake/exhuast and other basic mods it'll provide more than enough power for that car and it's a direct drop-in replacement for the 8-vale motor.
