Nothing, should all be rated at 115hp. Not sure if it has different suspension springs and shocks or not. I think it's just a jazzed up body.

Thanks Woodchuck, just was wondering myself. Friend has one, seems to drive the same as a normal yet he has a gt, only different i've seen was White Instrument panel and a spoiler.

My friends, girlfriend has an automatic 1998 Jetta GT.... and let me tell you, there's nothing GT about it... My TDI (1999.5) seems/is faster then this car... It's just the seats, the spoiler, the nicer gauges... it's a trim kit, basically... nice one too, and the car is loaded (heated seats, sunroof, power everything - tho the ergonomics are ass backwards compared to an A4 Jetta/Golf).

It's a GL powertrain in a GLX-lookalike body (fogs, alloys, spoiler, 1/2 tinted tails, etc.). Sort of a Jetta equivalent of the 2.0 8V GTI of the time. Not sure if the brakes were different (maybe rear discs but not sure).

And if the original poster forced the caliper pistons in without turning ... then they're trashed and will need to be replaced.

Aren't manuals wonderful things ... you buy one, you read it, and it saves you a bunch of grief.
