The bezel (sliding plastic part under the silver surround) around our shifter is all messed up. The dealer got a new one for me, but he didn't put it in.
How can I remove the silver trim around the shifter?
I will also need to remove the knob from the shifter, or the shifter shaft from some hidden part to slide the shaft through the bezel.
It's a 99 Passat wagon with the triptronic. I'm pretty good at removing things, but I don't see any places for fasteners at all...
