Hi all, I am getting ready to put a TDI engine in my 81 Caddy pickup but wanted to upgrade the brakes. I had a set of A3 front brakes with spindles and all but they will not fit on the A1. Does anyone have a set of GTI or Scirocco or 16V front brakes (10.5" I think) they would like to sell. I believe that all I need would be the calipers and the carriers as they should bolt right up to my spindles, mated with a new pair of vented rotors, they should really improve the stopping power of the little truck. Please contact me if anyone can help. thanks, Hayden

nig brakes may not fit within the OEM 13" wheels.
I have 14" wheels, that was one of the first updates I did. Hayden
while you're at it maybe the caddy already has these, but, i remember the old dasher wagon had larger rear drum brakes and bolted right up to my 78 rabbit scca itb car.... just a thought
I've read "somewhere" that the Caddy has big drums on the rear. This was in response to someone who was contemplating "upgrading" to a 4 disc setup. Word was that the Caddy rear brakes were more than adequate. Fronts are another matter altogether.
