I am the proud new owner of a 81 VW diesel rabbit with 160k. Driving it home last night I noticed that there is a clicking or knocking sound coming from the steering wheel collumn when driving straight, particularly on gravel roads. I don't hear or feel anything while turning, it generally steers fine, but is very annoying coming up my long dirt road. Thanks for any response.
