Clutch is gone in 1st and 2nd. It has been especially bad when very hot out. Strange. Any DIY advice on making this repair would be appreciated. Any one? Thanks.

Hydraulic clutch, so you have flushed and bled the entire system, including the brakes, of course?
When you are done with this, let us know the results for further suggestions. And please give us approximate mileage and other relevant information.
Hot weather brings on a lot of this.
