COIL PACK REPAIR FOLLOWUP

Back in February, I presented a problem of an intermittent shorting of the ignition coil in a 1999 VW Jetta VR-6, which VW said it wasn't responsible for, although they did do a recall on ignition coils on later model cars. One of the suggestions in the discussion was the "epoxy fix" by Marc Gallagher. For those not familiar with this solution, see:

Well, the epoxy job was done, but the "check engine" light remained on after at least 30 startups over a 26 day period. I visited a friendly local mechanic (don't find many of them around these days) and he read the fault codes before clearing them. (I didn't think to ask what kind of scanner he uses, but he was worried that he might not be able to clear them.) I had two:

P-1128 Null

Can someone translate these??

Thanks,

Mike (just another Jetta owner)
