Do you need a frequncy valve, really?!

Hello to All!

I have an 84' Rabbit Convertible and I live in a state that emission testing is not required. Has anyone here ever removed the frequency valve out of the fuel line. I think all you would have to do is adjust the air flow sensor to accommodate the higher fuel flow. Anyone have any thoughts?

Also, I replaced the transmission in the car with a transmission from a GTI. The shift linkage is not right. I think that the linkage is longer in the GTI than the Convertible.

Anyone with a little experience with this, please enlighten me.

Thank you...

That valve was also used to make the engine run richer during cold starts and full throttle.
