To get the thing in place, one has to remove the complete doorhandle by removing the Torx T30 on the small side of the door and sliding the handle forward to get it out of its place. This may need some fiddling with the key in the lock to loosen it from its bracket inside. Only a lock separated from the car can be handled in such a way that with a chance of success one can put the shutter under springload in its place. It needs some skills and fine tools and a lot of patience but can be done.
