I need some help from some of you VW guru's out there!
I have a 98 Jetta GLX (125,000 miles), and I just put in a set of both struts and shocks (Bilstein TC), along with new strut mounts and bearings. Was having some clunking up front and they appeared shot. Went ahead and did the whole thing while I was at it.
I have done this job before on my old 89 Jetta with no problem. However, I'm getting lots of squeaks now from up front. More like a crunching rubber sound. Any ideas what I may have done wrong? Too much torque on the mount bolts? Not enough? No problem from the rear shocks. Any help appreciated!
