Rear right reak ligh Jetta 2001

Hello,

I have a 2001 Jetta 2.0 L and I just noticed that my right rear break light is not working. I checked the bulb and it's fine. I also checked the fuses close to the wheel but I couln't find anything that had to do with the break lights.

Does anyone have an idea on this?

Thanks,

Hector.

Did you check to see if there is voltage at the light? Take out the bulb and test the socket with a meter. If you don't have a multimeter, you should get one because they are very cheap and very easy to use.

IIRC VW used to power the right brake light from the left brake light wiring. Not sure if it is still wired that way but I would look at the wiring there. good luck dave (One out of many daves)
