Rear shelf

Ok... working on rattles still... 86 GTI rear shelf, what holds the middle section that raises and lowers. Currently it just sits and rattles on the back shelves, what should be there?

Should be a clip on either side and the shelf should have a peg on either side. Peg snaps into clip and shelf still can pivot but it's also secured.
