My 1998 VW Jetta has been keyless remoteless for 6 months, and Im buying ONE new one off of the computer, does anyone know how to Program the remote? Ive heard from a few people I knew that you need 2 remotes to program then I?ve heard no, you only need one.... Does anyone know??? Thanks

Your VW dealer should know. Ask the service manager.

All you have to do is search the forums. I did it for you and it took about 1 minute. And no you don't need two remotes if the system is factory OEM, just two keys.

Not true, information from whatever source is NOT a cop out. VWVortex is certainly a good source, but so are good service managers. And remember, ANY source can be incorrect at times.
