fuel pump fuse pops on insertion .i unplugged wire from ignition coil ,no pop need help with the cause

replying to slick, Tedster wrote: You could try, as a last resort, cleaning the spade lug or other connectors and grounds but I suspect the pump itself is lunched. You can also try banging on it (or the tank) to get it to work for a while. This is also a sign of failure.
