90 YJ, passenger door adjustment, and front driveshaft

Got two questions,

my passenger door isnt flush, to the body, is there a way to bring it in flush, any "jam" adjusting? , next, my front driveshaft, at the slip-joint, NOT at the universals, Not at the axle, Not at the transfer case. has slop in it, not when you turn it, but if your on the ground looking up, and push it up and down, or side to side, about 1/8 slop,,,,,ok maybe a 1/4

is this normal?? is it toast? replace? or rebuild? . probably not, as whoever had this jeep before realy believed in beating on it.

johnp now a new and improved altinator ground, and pumpin them volts out.

The door latch post might be adjustable if you have the belt loop remover style. It uses a torx in the center and likely vise grips on the outside to loosen it then it shifts in a circle for adjusting how hard and far in that side of the door fits.

The lower hinge sometimes spreads letting the door get out of line too.

The slop in the driveshaft is normal, make sure you grease it.

The door striker will move, sliding with block inside the jam, probably like this TJ:

The Belt Loop Ripper Offer is adjustable to pull the door in tighter. If your Belt Loop Ripper Offer has been replaced with loop style latch instead of the post style that rips off the belt loops, then the adjustment is still there, but the method of adjusting is different. It takes different wrenches.

It is probably OK.
