My 95 Cherokee Sport 4.0 has begun to have erratic starting problems. Sometimes it fires right up. But other times, it takes 5 15 attempts before it catches. Once in a while it simply won¹t start at all. In those cases I¹ve left it for a day and then next day, it started.
Conditions: It didn¹t begin doing this until mid-Oct. when overnight temps dropped into the 50s. It only does it when the engine is dead cold (It starts fine when fully hot or simply after running for 10-15 min. you can shut it off, come back a while later and it will fire right up). It doesn¹t always do it. Sometimes, you can start it from dead cold and it will fire right up.
