Removing front bumper

Hello I need to replace a cracked headlight on a Mazda 626 (year 2000) which appears to involve removing the front bumper. I assume this will be straight forward enough, but I am concerned about damaging connectivity to airbags. Please would someone advise whether this will be a problem. Many thanks,

Airbags are activated by an accelerometer. Exactly where that is fitted, I have no idea, but it wont be attached in any way to bumpers or body panels, so any of those may be removed without compromising the airbag system. Mike.

LOL. Yes it'll be a terrible problem because the bumper is connected to the thighbone which is connected to the kneebone which is connected to the shinbone which is connected to the anklebone which is connected to the footbone which is connected to the canbus system which is connected to the accelerometer which triggers the airbags when you run into something. God knows how you're going to dismantle all of that.

(Dave Baker, it sounds like you need to get out more / start socialising with real people).
