OT: bb, do you even KNOW what a "Neo-Con" is?

I bet you don't. It's just the current Liberal Buzzword, so you're going to throw it out whenever you can.

Lest's see if you can post the definition of a NeoCon...

We've gone over this, your term for Neocon is not what's used today.

A modern Neo-Con or New Conservative is a politician who has leanings toward traditional conservative values of morality and accountability but is willing to adopt certain core liberal values in order to attract constituents who consider themselves moderate. Since a Neo-Con believes strongly in morality, he also has strong ties to a faith-based religion and henceforth supports Judeo-Christian peoples such as U.S. and Israel or other countries where secularism is not yet the official religion.

I was 'joking' with a guy at work today; he is the lot guy and often goes and gets cars we take in on dealer swaps for our customers. The last 4 cars we have gotten have been "spot" deliveries; this means the customer, one way or the other is waiting for the car, either in the showroom or waiting for the swap. Usually we get the swap within an hour of when the person has been told to pick the car up, so we have to rush to get it done. This usually isn't a problem except the last 4 have had these TERRIBLE black marks on the carpets; one was a Lincoln LS with a light tan interior with black smudges. So, when I saw the kid today, i said, Dude, trade in your Birkenstocks and wear a lighter shoe! He kinda got defensive and I said I was kidding...sort of. He didn't drive those cars. but he DID say, Oh, so because I'm a Democrat, you threw in the remark about the Birkenstocks... Well, the kid goes to a Liberal college here in Mas, is pre-law and will probably join the ACLU as soon as he passes the bar, if not before. We have some INTERESTING conversations, esp if he walks into the shop while I have Rush on...

Later, I said, So, you liked the way I slipped the Birkenstocks in there, eh? and he shot me a smile.

Even later, he came back, and I told him about this group and how I am labelled a NeoCon here. He looked and said "You? A NeoCon? You're about the furthest thing from a NeoCon after a Liberal!"

And I think he knows me a bit more personally than a lot of the posters here!

In your case, racist bigot fits better, but neo-con is a bit more polite.

Not entirely, but at least I don't call myself a Liberal and HATE everybody that disagrees with me...

Liberal spew MORE hate than any Conservative I have met.

You're a prime example...

What makes you think I'm a liberal, and do you have a clue what a liberal is, other than a bad word Rush spews?

I'm sorry, you mean you're just an Asshole?

I live in Amherst/Northampton area. I am quite WELL aware what a Liberal is, and your level of hatred would help you fit right in, esp when dealing with people who don't agree with you.

You never waste time seeking your natural level.

Cool, then go ahead and let me know what a liberal is to you.

According to Sen. Robert Byrd, some are complacent about crime:

"One's life is probably in no greater danger in the jungles of deepest Africa than in the jungles of America's large cities. In my judgment, much of the problem has been brought about by the mollycoddling of criminals by some of the liberal judges who have been placed on the nation's courts in recent years."

From his memoirs: "Child of the Appalachian Coalfields" released this summer.

First, this is one person expressing an opinion about the danger's of inner city life and how it got that way. Keep in mind this person is looking for votes from the angry white male and nascar demographic. He does not say liberals are complacent on crime. Nobody likes crime, liberals, libertarians, conservatives, moderates, anyone. Maybe everyone has a different approach to how the crime situation should be dealt with, but no one is complacent about it.

So where is there any indication that this judge was a liberal? Nothing you've posted, even if every stitch of it is true, indicated what the judge's political leanings were, or if his political leanings were the cause of this judgement. You've presented a story to prove liberals are complacent on crime and it in no ways proves anything about liberals.

You presented the story as an indication liberals are complacent about crime. The story doesn't indicate a single thing about liberals. Certainly some right wing christian type beats his wife. Maybe many do. That doesn't prove right wing christians are wife beaters.
