Trucks arent bought for mostly play...

Anyone who thinks that is silly at best.

The reason Dodge and Ford sell so many trucks are mostly for the reasons of work trucks. Sure the upper middle class man will buy one for play or the 18 year old college student trying to flex the size of his penis.

However, the reason Trucks sell 3 times as many vehicles than cars is because they are bought for fleets. My city of Plano Texas owns around 100 F150's or above. I have seen where they keep the fleet. Plano has a population of 250k people.

Toyota and Nissan do not market the toughness of their trucks for no reason.

Trucks are often purchased in fleets.

No one doubts that there is still a market for gas guzzling. Ford isnt suffering for their truck sales. They are suffering because they cannot get a foot in the car sales. Hell, they had to fire 27 thousand hourly employeess and 10 thousand salaried jobs just to finally get a profit...

Why is everyone against them changing up their fleet? How can you not agree that the Taurus is an ugly f_cking car? lol!

reminds me that TXU owns over 1000 F350's for the electrical trucks in the state of Texas alone...

Cable companies, electric companies, gas companies, farmers, water companies, cities, counties, etc etc etc

About 3,300,000 cars and 4,500,000 light trucks were sold this year through June. Trucks are not selling 3 times as many trucks as cars.

Gee, I bet plano owns at least that many cars. I bet there are official cars for some department heads and such. Oh, the police department finds it easier to get to crime seens in police cars than taking the bus.

So are cars. Even notice the fleets of police cars in NYC? And there are a lot of black lincolns and yellow Fords. Huge fleets of cars.

Their truck sales are down 4% this year, through June.

They sold over 500,000 cars this year. That is about 1/8 of all cars sold in the US. I would call that more than a foothold. And they had two of the top 10 sellers and a redesigned Taurus.

A profit where? Not North America.

They still have a lot of work to do.

What is f_cking car? I never heard of one. you are allowed to type the actual words you want to say.

I think the Taurus looks pretty cool. So do a lot of others. Different people have different tastes. There is no requirement that you like the looks of the Ford.

Speaking of in the top ten and in relation to our debate.

Police cars? Yes...But how many businesses are buying both squad cars and trucks? Trucks sell like they do because of business.

NYC is turning towards all hybrids now. With that said, the squad cars wont be the same as the way trucks sale. Police departments dont change out their entire fleet at once. I guaruntee you the truck fleets are usually newer than the car fleets. With that said, lets take the city out of the equation. Businesses? Ever work truck I see if a Ford or a Dodge.

A majority of people are still buying foreign... or Chevy

Cars and pickups are both sold to private people, businesses and governments. I don't of any sites that statistics about this, though.

Only for the taxis. Not for the limos or police cars.

Why? Cities, counties, states and the federal gov't all over the country buy cars and trucks.

Or Chevy, Nissan, GMC or Toyota. I have seen them all as work trucks.

Actually, cars are nearly evenly split between domestic brands and foreign, with a slight edge to domestic. This is true as well: And a majority (about 60%) of people are still buying ... or Ford.

I don't see how the stolen work trucks caused the crash. They were definitely work trucks. One had work truck had two tanks in the back and the other was towing a compressor.

Rather, flying choppers way too close together (apparently, at one point, the distance between the choppers was 0 m) caused the crash. The choppers are still only a few meters apart.

I assume you have the survey results to back up your claim. Let's see the data.
