'91 Camry DX constantly burning out headlights

I have a '91 Camry DX that has gone through 4 sets of headlights (9004) in the last 2-3 months. This is only happening on the driver's side, the passenger side has yet to burn one out. Any ideas on what could cause this? Two sets were blue xeon bulbs, and two were standard Sylvania halogen. I have used latex gloves each time to ensure that no oil got on the bulb.

Thanks in advance, Joshua Smeltser

Check your battery volts normal at 13-13.8v and that your headlight is mounted securely, apart from that I have no idea except a dud batch.

You shouldnt touch the bulb at all , if anything touches the bulb clean with alcohol and a new cleanex, and dont touch the side you clean with.

My son has the same problem only he has a 92 Corolla. The problem was that he had a hairline crack in the lens which was letting air, moisture and who knows what else in. Replacing the entire lamp assembly solved his problem. We purchased a new lamp assembly from a junk yard. Works fine now.

If your lenses look foggy then you have a leak, I know high pressure car washes will push in water anywhere
