Optimum Idle RPM for Camry 2000?

What is the optimum idle RPM for a 2000 LE camry? I think mine was previously 600RMP when it was idle and when I cleaned the air throttle and part of the long metal manifold that the air throttle hangs on to, the RPM jumped to 700 RPM.

What is the optimum idle RPM? What should I do?

Also, I Check engine light came on and I took it to the Autozone, they told me that metal pipe that goes into the ECV valve needs to be cleaned. Tried to do that but to no avail even though I took off the air filter manifold and air throttle. Just not enough space. Any ideas besides taking it to the shop?

TIA.

Check for a sticker under your hood. That gives you the optimal idle RPM. A variation of 100 or 200 RPM is nothing to be concerned about.

There are numerous reason for a check engine light. Finding out for sure requires proper equipment that can read the check engine error code. Bring it in to the dealer. It'll take them 2 mins to do it. They may want to charge you to check it. I suggest bringing it in for an oil change. The mechanic should see the check engine light and automatically check it (if they're any good).
