My 88 Toyota 2wd has developed a drive-train noise. At 162,000 miles, the truck has been developing a high speed rumbling noise. The rumble picks up on the left turns and goes away on the right turns. Doesn't seem noticeable below 60mph. I diagnosed bad rear wheel bearings and had these replaced (Yikes $168.00 just for the bearings before labor). I also replaced a front bearing/race that had been questionable for a while. None of this has affected the rumbling noise. Could this be a failing differential?????
