If the engine is running too rich, the gas will wash down the cylinder walls and get into the oil. At 74k it might be time to check out the o2 sensor(s) to see if they are dirty and sending improper signals to the ECU making the engine run rich.

Stuck injector can do this, gas will leak down when the engine is off.
is it cold where you are? have you been letting your truck idle to warm up for longer than usual? when running cold, the engine runs extra rich. if you idle it for 5-10 minute in the morning, and it's runing rich, sometimes unburnt fuel can be pushed past the rings and into the crank case. if you're trips are short and you're not running the engine at a high temperature long enough the unburnt fuel doesn't get a chance to evaporate out of the oil and that could possibly lead to a gassy smell in your oil.
