I have a 82 c10 stepside ...With a 4.1l straight 6..On take off its a little sluggish and when letting off the gas it backfires through the exhaust.....Is it a valve sticking ? Kinda stumpped never had is appen before..... Steve C
it might be your carb. my dad has a blazer that backfires and its b/c of the carb sending too much gas, and what does burn goes into the exhaust. when too much is in the exaust it will backfire
