Dean?? Anyone?? Hole in my bellcasing????

Question

Dean??? Anyone???I was doing the second Mobil One change on my GMC Sieera and I noticedsomething I had not before:On the tranny bellcasing, right near the bottom, there seems to be a 1/4" orso HOLE. I can see a gear (flywheel?) when I look into it. Is this supposedto be here? I had not seen it before, so now I am worried. Is there supposedto be fluid in there? Is this a 'weep hole'? I have not seen any largepuddles underneath, so I hope this is normal and that maybe a dust plug orsomething came out....A good friend will come bail you out of jail...but a true friend will besitting next to you saying, "Damn...that was fun !! "

As long as it is in the center at the bottom, it is ment to be there, waterthat gets into there needs to get out.... starter gear or flex plate(manual, automatic respectively). No sweat.

'It's bigger than a 1/4", and it's supposedto have a plug in it to keep the road ratsand mud dobbers out.. (My=A0Own=A0Little=A0Universe) On the tranny bellcasing, right near the bottom, there seems to be a1/4" or so HOLE. I can see a gear (flywheel?) when I look into it. Isthis supposed to be here?

trip to the dealer then, I take it'It's bigger than a 1/4", and it's supposedto have a plug in it to keep the road ratsand mud dobbers out..
