is this the V6 engine, if so the fuel pumps are notorious for failure, located in the tank...access via the boot (trunk)...have one in the garage right now with the same fuel pump failure problem.
update........appologies for previous poor diagnosis on my behalf.turns out the in-tank electric pump on the v6 diesel does nothing more than curculate fuel around the tank.lord only knows why... stripping the lift pump tomorrow as probablt fault lies here...
