If you check your transmission fluid when it's in park, running, hot and at the full mark, does it look overfilled when it's cold and been sitting overnight (not running)?

If you check your transmission fluid when it's in park, running, hot and at the full mark, does it look overfilled when it's cold and been sitting overnight (not running)?
When it's not running, yes, it will show overfilled. Cold will actually show slightly lower, but not enough to compensate for the engine not running. The only way to get an accurate reading is hot with the engine running.
