02 Silverado 4x4: Improving the ride and handling

Jul 30, 2005 2 Replies

I am not complaining about my present set up. Just wondered if there is any way to improve the ride and handling of my 02 Silverado 4x4 that has all the stock basics.

I got some pretty significant improvement just by changing the factory tires to some Michellin light truck tires

Just wondering if one of your handling problems was excessive road wander. Cheers, Roy

You might try some aftermarket Heavy duty Front and Rear Sway bars. Handling it not going to be the best on a 4x4. You can lower it and it'll handle better, but that's kind of lame on a 4x4. Sway bars would help, some Good Shocks like KYB's Monotube type Shocks would help some. It is a truck and a 4x4 on top of that. There's only so much you can do. You do one thing and it affects something else.
