91 chevy truck won't start

1991 R3500 with 454 TBI. Parked it in the driveway running fine, now it won't start. Gets gas, fire and spins over fine. Appears to be in time. Tries every now and then to start, but can't seem to get going. I am out of ideals. Only code on it is a 12, which is no help. Any ideals?

Wet spark plugs.

Change the sparkplugs.

Or....if your too lazy to do that.......... wait for someone else to give you an easier task to attempt.

Even though it has all those electronics it still is an internal combustion engine. If it sparks fine and is definitely getting fuel then you need to look at compression. I would try to put a little fuel down the throttle body first, if it starts on that just momentarily then it is the fuel pump or fuel injector. If it doesn't try to fire on that make sure your plugs are good and crank it over with the plugs out to dry it out (a compression check would be good at this point). Put the plugs in and spray a little WD-40 down the throttle body, if it doesn't start momentarily then, it could be a timing chain issue. I think you failed to put the mileage in your post, which would help in determining the condition of the engine.

=2E.

When I read the original post , I had the Sparkplugs in mind Also..

It is not RARE for GM /AC plugs to go bad all at once .

I learned my lesson with AC plugs in the 80's, My CHEVY WRECKERS did=20 not like them. I switched to CHAMPION back then
