My friend has trouble driving up our mountain road. Twice it stalled,but after sitting for a few minutes,it fires right up. She's tried feeding it extra fuel by pumping to keep it from stalling,but then she smells raw gas. Someone suggested that the coil might be going bad. Can you offer any suggestions? Thanks

When was the last time the fuel pump was changed?
Explain what you mean by stalling, please. Stalling as in misfire, or as in shutting off completely?
