1994 chevy s-10 pickup 4.3L motor. has some rust and needs shocks and cleaning. also, horn doesnt work [where is the horn anyway?] and wiper doesnt wipe. fuses appear OK. truck has 250k miles but seems OK.

does this sound like something worth salvaging? any suggestions welcome.

New engine from chevy, $2,000, new transmission from chevy, $1200 (includes torque convertor). At 250k unless its free, and the "some rust" is just suirface rust, then no.

thanks - the truck was a hand me down - guys landlord said get it out or else - and engine seems strong.
