Horsepower

I was wondering if there is any (somewhat cheap and somewhat easy) way to increase my horsepower? I do not really want to install a blower or any thing like that. I have a 98 5.7 liter that I use to pull a travel trailer. Thank you .........Ed

Nitrous is cheap and easy.......do like i say,not like i do. start with the basic performance tricks like exhaust, air intake, fuel map and ingition curve. A blower for that ride starts at $2,500 but will add 40% mo power. Good luck and have fun.

Power programmer which you can also tune trans with.

Slightly lower gears.

Mild cam.

50-state legal headers and a high flow single exhaust(my personal recommendation) or dual exhaust.

There are MANY power adding things you can do, and many things that cost money and DONT add power. Jegs is a good source!

rule 1--- "there is no replacement for displacement" big block engine.

if you can't do that look into gearing, more pull, less mileage. it's all a trade-off.
