Maybe on some models, but in the book for my 2003 S-10, it is clearly mentioned with the notation that it may not be available on all models.

For those who want to slip around at night unnoticed, here's my

suggestion.

Rig up a hooded light and place it over the headlight sensor so that the > sensor thinks that it is daylight. This will probably turn off the > headlights. Don't forget to turn off the daylight running lights.

Sounds like a lot of bother to go to. My truck kills both the DRL and the auto-headlights when the dome override button is pushed a total of four times in a row.

From personal experience this works also on a 2002 Sonoma and a 2004 Blazer. It kills the DRL and the auto-headlights. It does not work for the DRL?s on my 98 Silverado (it doesn?t have auto headlights). Pushing in the parking brake 1 click kills the DRL?s.

You need to find the relay that powers the lights and insert a switch into that circuit. That way you can control the lights from the cab.
