On my 2000 blazer, I just hit the dome over-ride button 7 quick times in a row.

it's right by the gauge panel dimmer. Like I said, it's on my 2000 blazer. I don't know what a Tracker looks like.
There is no headlight override button. The button in question is the dome light override button. Apparently, hitting the dome light override button a certain number of times in a certain amount of time will turn off the headlights in some GM vehicles. This method of turning off the headlights is an undocumented workaround which is of dubious value.
In a recent discussion of how to turn off automatic headlights, there were suggestions pertaining to modifying the light sensor mounted on the dashboard, messing with the headlight switch and fiddling around with the fuse box.
For those who want to slip around at night unnoticed, here's my suggestion. Rig up a hooded light and place it over the headlight sensor so that the sensor thinks that it is daylight. This will probably turn off the headlights. Don't forget to turn off the daylight running lights.
