seat upgrade

Jul 24, 2003 3 Replies

The OEM seats in my '91 are shot to the point my wife refuses to ride in the truck (come to think of it, they make my back ache, too). Any advice on what to replace them with? Thanks.

Paul, unless I were rebuilding/restoring the truck, I would look first in a wrecking yard for factory seats. Maybe you have an upholstery shop near you that would take on the job. Otherwise any of the aftermarket suppliers can fix you up for a price, from Sears or JC Whitney to a dozen others. It all would depend on what you are willing to pay for what style you want. Personally I like front buckets with a center console. Good Luck, JR

I'm willing to pay for quality seats, and I've looked at numerous sites, but it's hard to tell how any of the seats I've seen on line will feel on our butts and backs. I think I'd like to replace the bench with buckets/center console so each of us can adjust individually. Thanks for your input.
