trans problem with 2002 jimmy

Jan 09, 2005 2 Replies

So I'm getting the old thats normal for the truck routine from a dealer ship. And its still under warrenty. When I step on and off the clutch in my 2002 jimmy I get loud clunk sounds and a bit of a rattle when in reverse. Had a bunch of people tell me that its not normal, and it kinda bugs me to no end. Thx for any help you can give me

Dunno if it is the same tranny but my 96 Silverado has had a rattle in the throwout bearing for the last 80k or so. It seems to be worse if I am on an incline. It only happens in neutral. When I step on the clutch it goes away. It bugs me too. But, since I'm pretty sure it's the throwout bearing, I'll replace it when I replace the clutch. I have 135K on it now and it is still running great. It aint broke, so I'm not gonna fix it.
