98 Chrysler Cirrus

Nov 10, 2003 2 Replies

I recently had the ignition key on my Cirrus jam. I could put the key in but not turn it. This has happened to me twice before, but a good swift hit to the column seemed to unjam it. This time, no go.

Long story short, I used a dremel, and now have the Ignition keyhole/tumbler assembly out of the column. I was wondering if anyone knows where to get one of these to replace the one I distroyed. (oh, by the way, the key turns just fine now after I tossed it on the ground, finally un-stuck)

I've looked over a couple auto parts places online, but they either don't show a picture, or they show a key/switch assembly that appears generic that won't replace what I took out.

Thanks, Posi

I don't know if these are available aftermarket, it might be a dealer-only item. But here's where you want to forego the Internet approach and just get someone on the phone and find out.
