Leaky 3.3

The 3.3 motor in my recently purchased 95 Eagle Vision clearly has a leak somewhere up front. Wondering what the common leakage spots are on these motors and how much effort it is to replace the affected seals. What leaks? Crank Seal? Cam Seal? How much effort are these to replace? Is there any merit to stop leak as an interim measure? Note: It's not dripping out and puddling, but it does leave the driveway polkadotted with oil. What else is there up there to leak? It doesn't look like the valve cover gaskets leak; that's good.

I'm also curious what sort of mileage folks are getting with their 3.3 Vision/Intrepid/Concordes. I don't know about mine yet because the ODO stepper motor quit and just picked up a replacement.

Most probable oil leak location is the timing chain cover gasket.

The timing cover would be a worthwhile item to check. When my 1993 Voyager was new, it had a leak that was mistaken for the oil pan. They finally traced it to the timing cover, and replaced the gasket under warranty.

I also have a 93 Caravan 3.3 that had a leak misdiagnosed to the oil pan gasket - turned out to be the rear main seal. Easy to replace only if the transmission is coming out for some other reason. Once the flywheel lower cover was removed to look inside - the diagnoses was easier.
