RE: 1995 LH HVAC Problem

My Car: 1995 Eagle Vision Tsi 120,000 miles with digital climate control

My problem: In the winter, I have basically a feast-or-famine situation. The heat is all or nothing. In the summer, all I have is very hot air coming out of the vents, no A/C and not even fresh air at outside temperature.

What has been done: The digital panel has been replaced, air has been blown through the above the glove box sensor. When I bypass the control and hot-wire the A/C compressor, I get cold air. So, I think that the mechanical part of the A'C is OK and charged. A few years back, a tech reprogrammed to system by holding in four of the eight buttons, but I don't remember which four.

As always, thanks in advance,

Jimbo

Three buttons: Floor, MIX (Floor & Defrost), and Defrost. Hold these for 10 secons to start the re-program sequence.

Mine has been going loopy for years, and this fixes it every time. It's easier to remember that it's all the top buttons except A/C.
