Well obviously, why would the krauts pollute their fine cars with some old pushrod engine from the 1950s?

I think you better read this:
"the Chrysler HEMI was born in the 1950s"
See, some old pushrod engine from the '50s.
Lets hope the krauts let you have one of their castoff engines to power the re-badged Merkin Mercs.
It is?
Didn't look like it in the bits that came across to me. Just talking about cars, so who cares about drag racing? It's not even directly comparable to the Traffic Lights Grand Prix, which is the nearest thing to racing of any sort most people come to.

Try mph instead of kph...
We even took a handful of dragsters there to show you lot how its done. It turned out to be well above your abilities and skills to replicate, so you're forced to watch us push speed records higher every year....
Come on, now, Larry. I was just there and I saw a lot of Mercedes, Porsches, BMWs. No Corvette C6s, tho.

Notice please that not one of those mentioned was built in Blighted, the land of slogger autos....
Because its better than anything they build in Germany? Because with sintered connecting rods, eutectic pistons, and about a million other innovations its FAR from an "engine from the 1950s."
But don't let facts stand in your way....
The funny thing is that, while the Brits seem hopeless at building 'mass' cars (the best British sports car ever built is a Mazda MX5/Miata...) they are very good at constructing racing cars... F1 is dominated by a cottage industry in southern England, as you may know.

Ever wondered why only Americans buy American cars?
His ignorance on things automotive is legendary. He hustles hot mercedes parts out of a wrecking yard in Luton. Here such operations are called chop shops....
Because you protectionist socialists double the price with import duties.
And the people running them are called sweat hogs.
You mistake me for some sort of criminal...
Right, a pizza gobbling criminal....
If that were true, I might wonder. I wouldn't really care, but I might wonder.
But since American cars sell fairly well worldwide (and Chrysler "50s pushrod" engines have been used several successful British cars, plus Ford and GM now own most of the European car builders), I neither wonder nor care.
No retort for that, I see....
Being stupid and ignorant is not a crime. It's just a serious handicap.
Well it is so wonder away...
Like VW, BMW, Mercedes, Renault, Fiat, Peugeot etc?
I am fond of pizza...
