Does anyone know how many degrees each tick mark on the timing plate are?

Yup, 2 degrees same as the small blocks. In fact a SBC damper will fit fine on the 250 EXCEPT there is no belt groove in it and the 6 has it.
If I remember correctly, 2 deg.
