Finally found my SD1 - but what to keep.

Hello All,At long last I located a rusty but working '85 3.5, 5 speed SD1 for theMGB conversion project. As most of the conversion stuff I have read isbased on that complete drivetrain I went for it rather than the 3.9,plus I know this car runs (although who knows what oily terrors awaitwhen I start to examine the lump and box in detail - but that is partof the fun). It also means engine and box sorted in one fell swoopwithout have to locate (and pay for) two diffrent running cars.At only a few hundred quid I can't grumble, and if I want to replace itwith a 3.9 later I can, that seems a relatively simple task given themajor project which awaits me in a general sense.The question now is what to retain - depending on what I read I eitherdo/don't need, or can/can't reuse/modify everything from the SD1 barthe windows and wheels!Here's my list so far1. Engine2. GearboxIt's not a very long list, I grant you - would anyone care to add toit?Thanks.

I use Citylink, a tenner for one of their bags, I suspect the column would be quite long tho (based on the Range Rover one it needs to replace)

I've blacklisted them after they gave me a quote over the phone then refused to honour it when I took the package to their depot. They insisted that as it was only a "satellite depot" I couldn't drop parcels there without an account. I'd have to take them to the real depot 70 miles away. As I'd already had the postage paid, based on their quote, I lost 12 quid on the deal when I had to use a different courier.

At my local one the only way of paying without an account is by cheque. Not cash or credit/debit card. Weird.
