LED lightbulb replacement?

Round my way, it is rare to see a bicycle with *any* sort of lights, and I have never read anything in the local paper that reported such a cyclist being stopped.

I did once ask someone who had the flashing LEDs fitted how long the batteries last. He reckoned that one set would last all winter, using them every workday. Very economical and environmentally friendly!

These days, if you don't attract the attention of a Gatso or radar gun, and you don't talk on a mobile phone, the police probably won't notice you.

They were doing seatbelt checks round here recently!

No, the ones I saw in Nottingham near the NIC are definitely LED; the speed of change is the giveaway as LEDs illuminate far more quickly and extinguish virtually instantly.

Seeing the number of people I see on my way to/from work every week; the handheld mobile phone ban is being widely ignored.

Interesting thing is that the worst offenders are those driving top end Mercs and BMW, usually 2 door variants -- white man van and white shoe girl seem to have got the mesage driving and phoning don't go together.
